Nabil Costa, MEBO Board Vice President

Born in Lebanon, the gateway to the Middle East, Nabil grew up in a Christian family to parents who continue to demonstrate the faith and hospitality of the early Church. He came to know Christ as His Savior during the Lebanese Civil war. In 1980, he received his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration and Economics from the American University of Beirut; followed in 2003 by Masters of Arts in Education and Counseling from the Haigazian University in Beirut.

Nabil built a career in marketing and sales working for eighteen years with Eastman Kodak Company in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia; serving as Marketing Development Manager for the Gulf region. He was called to full-time ministry in Lebanon in 1998 serving as the Executive Director for the Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development; a then newly-founded non-profit organization, the umbrella for several educational and development ministries including a Seminary, a publishing house and a K-12 academy. A ministry with a geographical scope that extends way beyond the Lebanese borders to cover other countries in the Middle East and North Africa. This step created in Nabil a paradigm shift that changed his life completely starting with the conviction that there is a dire need for business people in the ministry field.

Nabil is also the General Secretary of the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon – a ministry that encompasses around 30 schools (25,000 students, 65% Muslim) in Lebanon. He has also been instrumental in building the capacities of Baptist ministries in Jordan.

Nabil spends a considerable portion of his time travelling extensively between the Middle East, Europe and North America. He has had many trainings in USA and Europe. He is occasionally invited to speak on such topics as leadership, team work, motivation, marketing and fund-raising…

Nabil is married to Lena – who is equally involved in ministry including Prison and music ministries. They have two sons – Nicholas (13 years) and Christopher (7 years).
